The Naval Standard Missile Systems (NSMS) program area in Tucson, AZ, within the Naval Power (NP) Strategic Business Unit is looking for a highly motivated finance professional to lead the management and oversight of critical munitions programs with annual revenues exceeding $500M and significant complexity. The candidate will partner with the Program Director, Program Management, Functional Leads and Finance Leadership to ensure flawless program execution through cost and schedule control, financial compliance and capture future awards to grow the portfolio.
WhatYou Will Do
- Evaluate and improve internal controls, tools and processes.
- Lead and develop the program controls team, including understanding production processes and performing detailed analysis.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to develop monthly forecasts, quarterly forecasts, LRP and AOP, providing tactical support of forecasts and plans using financial tools (RPLAN, SAP, BW, Excel).
- Provide timely and thorough quantitative analysis to support business, program and project decision‑making.
- Achieve critical deadlines with quality results and act as a solutions‑oriented team member.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with contractually required EVMS reporting.
- Accommodate ad‑hoc critical and urgent requests, including support for briefs with Raytheon and customer leadership.
- University degree in business, finance, accounting, math or a directly related field, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 10 years relevant finance/accounting experience; or an advanced degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience.
- Past program, project, or personnel management experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including analysis for office, advanced formulas).
- Experience with program cost schedule and control.
- Experience in SAP (APEX, PRISM) and Business Warehouse.
- Earned Value Management experience, including I and EV CDRL formats.
- Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Program Management, Supply Chain, Contracts, etc.) in proposal development and program execution.
- Experience leading and developing teams.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to meet critical deadlines and develop and apply solutions and process improvements.
- Excellent communication, organization and analytical skills.
- Ability to frame and interpret issues for senior management.
- Comfortable in a highly visible position with direct access to senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues representing a variety of work and conflict resolution styles.
- Experience organizing, preparing and presenting briefings to customers, management and peers.
- Experience recognizing process shortfalls and successfully implementing positive change.
- Experience analyzing data and information necessary to validate program performance and identify corrective action.

$132,400 – $251,600 USD, based on experience, location, education and role responsibilities.
