Sr. Project Manager

* Manages multimodal transportation projects. Oversees consultant design teams, coordinates public engagement activities, represents the project to members of the public and city leadership. Manages project schedules and budgets. Guides conceptual project design and delivery. Manages projects by meeting with related parties, identifies the needs and problems of the project and determines timelines. Prepares cost estimates and reviews plans and specifications.

Discusses project parameters, resolves conflicts, and clarifies reviews.
* Supervises staff including scheduling, managing workloads and priorities, including professional development, discipline, and performance evaluations. Reviews, manages, and ensures time-off requests, missed punches, schedules, and time worked is complete, accurate, and approved by the payroll deadline. Provides oversight and professional guidance to employees. Reviews work products and ensures the Planning and Prog ramming Division meets project and program obligations.
* Coordinates the planning functions for the Planning and Programming Division. Works with regional partners on planning efforts, defines planning needs and initiates studies or plans to support the Department’s vision and goals. Discusses project parameters, resolves conflicts and clarifies reviews.
* Works with project managers, finance and department leadership to support programming of capital projects both in the regional Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and the Department’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Conducts project reviews and ensures compliance with codes and policies.
* Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
