Position: Senior Manager, Contracts – Alternate Missions & Space Portfolio
Join Raytheon’s Advanced Technology Strategic Business Unit as a Senior Manager, Contracts supporting the Alternate Missions & Space (AM&S) Portfolio. In this role you will lead key pursuits, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, provide contractual guidance, and develop intellectual property strategies for cutting‑edge defense solutions.
What You Will Do- Work closely with Portfolio Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Business/Estimating, and Supply Chain to manage successful execution of contracts.
- Provide guidance to senior management regarding contractual and business issues, rights and obligations, and risk mitigation.
- Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI) and Broad Agency Announcements (BAA).
- Review Estimates at Completion (EAC) and conduct proposal reviews.
- Coordinate customer responses and negotiate contracts.
- Support program management and execution reviews.
- Develop Intellectual Property and investment strategy.
- Ensure negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies.
- Travel domestically as required (minimal).
- University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience.
- Experience with one or more of the following:
Contracts Administration/Management, Program Management, Finance, Subcontracts or Supply Chain.
- Contractual acumen with proficiency in contracts fundamentals and knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Experience bidding and/or managing development contracts in a fast‑paced competitive environment.
- Understanding of financial aspects of contracts and risk quantification.
- Familiarity with Other Transaction Agreements, Intellectual Property, license agreements, or teaming agreements.
- Salary range: $132,400 – $251,600 USD.
