Digital Program Lead (DPL) – Air & Space Defense Systems

Location:

Tucson, AZ (Onsite). The role requires a U.S. citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance. The position is eligible for relocation to the Tucson area.

What You Will Do
  • Serve as the DT touchpoint for SBU Leadership, Program Management, and SSBU Directors, acting as a strategic partner and escalation point for digital transformation initiatives.
  • Develop and execute a strategic DT roadmap focused on streamlining opportunities and managing scope, cost, and schedule performance.
  • Lead cross‑functional collaboration and root cause analysis to solve complex DT program challenges.
  • Manage key performance metrics, financials, EVMS, and staffing, providing regular status reports and operations reviews.
  • Partner with engineering and proposal teams to capture requirements, create executable plans, and ensure effective program support across functions.
  • Oversee the Program Annual Operating Plan (AOP), track capital and expense spending, and ensure compliance with security and infrastructure regulations.
  • Direct and manage DT personnel, resources, and third‑party collaborations to advance Agile initiatives and streamline procurement and technical solutions.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, MIS, engineering, math, or a STEM field plus 8 years of directly related experience (or Master’s degree and 5 years of experience).
  • Must have and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to be read onto special access programs.
  • Experience in overall information technology, software/systems engineering, and/or program management.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Extensive experience as an Agile Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Product Manager, leading cross‑functional teams; PMP, PMX, or CMX certification highly desired.
  • Expertise in project management, risk/opportunity analysis, cost analysis, performance tracking across complex programs.
  • Understanding of software development, systems integration, Dev Sec Ops , continuous improvement, and testing processes throughout the program life cycle.
  • Strong leadership, team motivation, large portfolio/backlog management, and senior stakeholder influence.
  • Excellent communication, business case analysis, ROI modeling, contract/SOW negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Skill Bridge Fellowship (Optional Path)

Transitioning service members may qualify for a Skill Bridge Fellowship to gain in‑depth experience in the aerospace and defense business. Eligibility requires a projected honorable discharge, completion of all transition requirements, and approval from the unit commander or O4+ chain of command. Fellows do not receive compensation and receive military pay and benefits during the fellowship.

What We Offer

Salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD (based on experience). Eligibility for annual short‑term and/or long‑term incentive compensation programs may apply. Benefits are subject to business unit and collective‑bargaining agreement terms.
