Duties/Responsibilities
- Review applications for various public assistance programs and determine eligibility through interactive interviews and fact gathering
- Verify accuracy of application forms; follow up with applicants as needed
- Communicate with applicants and recipients to address concerns, ensure correct program placement, and advise on available programs
- Explain rules and policies to claimants, representatives, employers, doctors, and agencies
- Solicit information to ensure proper eligibility decisions
- Maintain detailed and accurate records
- Travel to various locations for meetings, training, or conferences as needed
- Complete a 7-week in-person training program; potential for full-time conversion after training
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years customer service experience
- High school diploma
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on‑site and start immediately
- Reliable transportation
Preferred Experience/Skills
- Experience with eligibility reviews
- Insurance adjudication experience
