The AIM‑9X Development Program Finance Team, within the Naval Air Missiles Mission Area, has an immediate need for a Business Manager supporting the AIM‑9X Development portfolio. This portfolio encompasses a variety of development contracts critical to the program’s continued evolution and alignment with warfighter needs.
The Business Manager is an integral part of the AIM‑9X Finance leadership team and will oversee all aspects of Business Finance execution activities, including Program Cost Controls, Proposals, Financial Planning and Analysis, Estimates at Completion (EACs), and overall financial management of the assigned programs.
The selected individual must be an excellent communicator with a strong desire to learn while being aggressively challenged. Competitive applicants must have the ability to think on their feet, provide accurate and insightful management analysis with recommendations, manage competing priorities, and interact with various levels of leadership including Program Directors, Program Managers, and cross‑functional partners to ensure alignment on strategy, operations, and financial objectives.
WhatYou Will Do
- Lead and manage a team of financial analysts by providing support, mentorship, and training.
- Oversee earned value management and analyze program performance ensuring compliance with internal EVM policy and 10255.
- Develop quarterly Estimates at Completion (EACs).
- Interface with the Program Management Office and Integrated Product.
- Leadership Team to ensure financial policy compliance.
- Support monthly pre‑close and month‑end close activities including risk and opportunity management.
- Support development of program‑level inputs for Monthly Forecasts, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Long Range Plan (LRP) objectives.
- Meet critical deadlines while managing multiple conflicting priorities.
- Apply strong analytical abilities to quickly interpret data and support informed business decisions.
- Prepare finance charts for Program Business Reviews, financial overviews, and other reporting needs.
- Participate in key leadership strategy reviews.
- Support program startup and baseline establishment activities.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
- Experience with data analysis and/or reporting.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS), Estimates at Completion (EACs), or Financial Planning and Analysis.
