Finance Professional Opportunity

The Alternate Missions and Space (AM&S) Directorate within the Advanced Effectors & Space Sub Strategic Business Unit, a part of the Advanced (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). is looking for a highly motivated finance professional to lead the management and oversight of a Sub-directorate with expected revenues exceeding $1.0B in the LRP. The candidate will partner with Program Management, Functional Leads and Finance Leadership to ensure flawless program execution through cost & schedule control, disciplined EVMS implementation and compliance, and capture competitive future franchise programs.

Key expectations include directing program controls teams responsible for contract execution and managing the associated investments. Ownership of quarterly EAC development, deliver of CDRLs and implementation of Earned Value Management according to contract terms, RMD policy and process description. The qualified candidate will also partner with proposal teams to capture competitive proposals and continue to grow the sub-directorate. The right candidate will be an integrated part of a fast-paced sub-directorate where strategic thinking, tactical execution, multitasking, and initiative are key requirements.

The effective candidate must be able to work independently, be self-motivated, and comfortable with new challenges. Good communication skills are a must, along with the ability to effectively interact with multiple layers of leadership and make recommendations for appropriate solutions.

This position is being offered in an onsite capacity in beautiful Tucson, AZ! Relocation assistance is being offered.

What You Will Do
  • Provide key recommendations based on analysis that drives shareholder value.
  • Implement contractually required EVMS (Earned Value Management) reporting.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop monthly forecasts, LRP and AOP, providing tactical support of forecasts and plans using various financial tools (RPLAN, SAP, BW, Excel).
  • Provide financial leadership in proposals, thinking strategically to develop competitive offerings and secure internal alignment.
  • Develop, present and defend business case analyses to secure investment.
  • Evaluate and improve internal controls, tools and processes.
  • Lead and develop program controls teams.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires: A Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Math or a directly related degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
  • Experience leading and developing teams.
  • Active, in-scope (Top-Secret) and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Earned Value Management experience to include IBRs (Integrated Baseline Reviews) (Leading at suppliers and program), delivery of all EV CDRL formats including CSDR (Cost & Software Data Reporting) and CFSR (Contract Funds Status Report).
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and develop and apply solutions and process improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of management both verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to frame and interpret issues for Senior Management.
  • Comfortable in a highly visible position with direct access to senior leadership
  • Experience in organizing, preparing and presenting briefings to customers, management and peers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross functional teams and an ambiguous environment.
  • Experience recognizing process shortfalls and successfully implementing positive change.
