Associate Administrative Director of the Centered Spirit Program
The Associate Administrative Director of the Centered Spirit Program is responsible for the organizational oversight of administrative programs, the development of strategic planning, participation or leads organizational-wide committees, and plans and coordinates special projects. Duties included are: administrative oversight and supervision, providing technical assistance within the organizations and other agencies, ensuring quality and policy development. Incumbents may represent the Director of Behavioral Health, on committees and interactions within the organization and outside agencies serving as a liaison with other agencies.
The Director of Behavioral Health will maintain supervision of clinical related duties for all staff.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- System of Care concepts including services provision, strength-based assessment, and the Child Family Team approach;
- Supervisory principles;
- Public and behavioral health strategies for care;
- Organizational and team development;
- Business administration principles;
- General mathematical concepts;
- Report preparation techniques;
- English language, grammar, and punctuation;
- Yaqui culture, customs, resources and traditions and/or a willingness to learn.
Skills and Abilities:
- Maintain records and prepare reports;
- Manage and execute multiple tasks and projects;
- Analyze, evaluate, and interpret planning principles;
- Prepare and present data and reports;
- Develop an prepare a variety of business correspondence, records, reports, documents, and forms and visual graphics;
- Plan, organize, and conduct community meetings, collations and outreach;
- Provide customer services;
- Apply and explain applicable laws, codes, regulation, policies and/or procedures;
- Prepare and proof reading a variety of reports and/or documentation;
- Operate a variety of office equipment, including a computer and related software applications;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, supervisor, management, Council members, and the public. Have ability to sufficiently exchange or convey information and receive verbal and written work instructions.
Education, Certifications and Experience
Required:
Master's Degree in public administration, business administration or field related to assignment; and seven (7) years of related governmental experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
AND
- Experience with Systems of Care concept is preferred.
- Experience with Native American Community Health is preferred.
Special Requirements:
- Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License;
- This position will require the incumbent to work non-traditional hours, nights, and weekends;
- Must have a current Level 1 Arizona Clearance Card. Failure to maintain a current Level 1 Clearance Card will result in termination.
