Forklift Operator - Extrusion Plant

Job Location: Phoenix, AZ – Extrusion Plant

Starting Rate of pay: $21.15 / hour

Shift Premium: $1.00 / hour extra for shift differential

Shift

Hours:

6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Overtime as needed.

• Check billet/logs availability for daily schedule for due dates.
• Verify proper  & selection of billets/logs for each order.
• Ensure that racks, skids and baskets are ready for operators.
• Check and maintain ovens, load and unload ovens, make hourly checks.
• Read and understand work instructions for extrusion presses and age ovens.
• Empty scrap and chip hoppers as needed.
• Comply with company safety and housekeeping specifications.
• Maintain minor forklift maintenance, check fluid levels and general condition.
• Complete “Lift truck operator’s daily inspection report.”

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to understand and deliver basic commands in English.
• Must read and understand all work and safety instructions relevant to the specific position.
• Must be able to use and maintain basic tools and measuring equipment pertinent to the specific position.
• Must have good driving skills.
