$66,100.00 - $90,900.00 Annual. This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
Position OverviewThe Purchaser's role is to maintain effective and efficient procurement and delivery of raw, pack, and/or MRO materials to the manufacturing facility. The responsibilities of the position also entail coordinating and managing materials while maintaining plant inventory levels.
Responsibilities- Ensure uninterrupted and sustainable supply of raw materials to the plant.
- Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, equipment, and services required for plant operations.
- Manage local service contracts and investigate low cost and effective delivery methods for maximum savings.
- Manage ~$100K - 5M in annual raw, pack and some MRO spend.
- Follow Corporate Global Procurement Practices and Procedures when making decisions concerning negotiating, sourcing, and contracting for all goods and services purchased for the plant.
- Support coordination efforts related to Corporate Supply Chain sourcing initiatives as requested.
- Familiarity with commodity purchasing, MRO, or capital procurement.
- Develop and implement strategies for direct and indirect materials for plant that allow for continuous operations of manufacturing.
- Act as liaison with Supply Chain Sourcing managers and JM business units.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, maintenance, engineering, finance) to support production and project needs.
- Identify alternate materials, cost‑efficient processes and ways to reduce physical inventory.
- Support capital and expense purchasing processes, ensuring proper cost classification.
- Track purchase orders, resolve invoice discrepancies, and address GRIR or pricing issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records in SAP and other procurement systems.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost expectations are met.
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
- Experience in a plant or manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams.
- Knowledge of inventory management and cost analysis.

- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of plant buying and sourcing experience with a major company. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Strong inventory management skills.

- Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to and including 25 pounds.
