Become a Key Player as a Production Assembler 3
You will perform detailed electrical/electronic assembly and rework to keep production moving and quality high. You will support the manufacturing team on-site (1st shift) in Tucson, AZ, working directly with assembly leads, inspectors, and cross-functional teams to meet production and quality goals.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Perform disassembly, assembly, re-work and minimum testing of various electrical/electronic equipment
- Use electric solder equipment to IPC-A-610B standard and operate hand and power tools for assembly tasks
- Cut, prepare and pre-tin wires, prepare batteries, apply conformal coat, marking and adhesive bonding
- Follow written and verbal instructions and complete work according to specifications under direct/limited supervision
- Conduct inspections of your own and others' work against drawings and customer/company standards
- Maintain a clean, orderly workstation following 5S standards and adhere to safety and attendance policies
- Participate in hands-on assessments and be available for variable schedules, overtime, nights and weekends as needed
- Minimum 5 years of prior related work experience in an electrical/avionics manufacturing or testing environment, or completed OJT for at least 10 products
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient use of hand tools, power tools, and electric soldering gun; skilled at soldering to IPC-A-610B standard
- Good mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to work with small parts
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures
- Basic math skills and effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication
- Ability to pass drug/alcohol screenings and comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies
- Ability to lift/carry up to 35 lbs and perform light physical tasks as described
- Experience with MS Office Suite
- Experience with simple welding or brazing tasks
- Prior experience in avionics or aerospace manufacturing environments
$19.00/hour
