Sheet Metal Mechanic

Summary:

Join our team and be part of our commitment to exceeding customer expectations! We're seeking skilled Sheet Metal Bench Operators to fabricate, straighten, and adjust detail parts and assemblies using various equipment and tools.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate Press Brakes, Single Stroke punch presses, drill machines, saws, notchers, grinders, and hand tools to fabricate parts as per drawings and work instructions.
• Monitor machine operation and measure parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Notify supervisor of any non-conforming parts and make adjustments as necessary.
• Perform tasks in different areas of the shop as directed by supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area following 5S principles.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Proficient interpretation of drawings and work orders.
• Near and far vision of 20/30 in both eyes (corrected).
• Manual dexterity to handle small parts and measuring equipment simultaneously.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50lbs.
• Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and occasional chemicals.
• Moderate noise level in the work environment.
• Forklift operation may be required.
