Production Manager, Operations Engineer
Job Summary
The Sr. Supervisor, Production Control at Raytheon (RTX) will serve as a key member of the Planning and Production Control team, supporting factory operations under the Subsystems Make Center. The role is on‑site in Tucson, Arizona and requires a U.S. citizenship and a DoD Secret security clearance (interim clearance before start date).
What You Will Do- Lead the Production Control Team at the Tucson Airport Site.
- Evaluate and coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production/customer requirements.
- Track and status assemblies in progress, material availability, and potential shortages or delays.
- Triage production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
- Control and analyze multiple Bills of Material in an MRP system, confirming material supply demand and preparing necessary work orders based on shop load and inventory requirements.
- Coordinate inter‑departmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering.
- Manage material movement between warehouse, labs/production areas, and customers.
- Handle material management of explosive components from procurement through installation or disposal processes.
- Work with engineers on Bill of Material accuracy and real‑time updates.
- Interface with internal customers—including Engineering Whole Life Group, Program, and Factory management—as required.
- Participate in projects and teams to accomplish continuous improvements.
Essential qualifications:
- University‑level degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least three years of experience.
- Experience in planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, finance, or project management.
- Experience with MRP and/or special program access.
- Leadership experience managing daily team operations.
- Ability to obtain an interim Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance prior to start date.
- Experience in planning and production control within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean or Six Sigma project implementations.
- Experience with Wave track and material and inventory control systems such as Kanban, SMI, Continuous Flow Manufacturing.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office applications.

Salary range: USD 86,800 – 165,200.
