Position Summary
Routes and ties wires to form wire harnesses used in electrical and electronic equipment or systems. Reads instructions, such as work orders, diagrams and wire lists to determine sequence of assembly. Ability to solder wires to connectors per detailed manufacturing requirements. Work is semi-routine in nature, following detailed established processes and procedures.
Essential Functions- Assemble wire harnesses, cable, and mechanical assemblies utilizing process and work instructions along with drawings.
- Reads and interprets assembly drawings, parts lists, operation sheets, manufacturing procedures and visual aids.
- Perform and document completed work via a traveler. Ensures correct specification and function criteria are met per the manufacturing instructions.
- Meets productivity standards; completes work in timely manner; meets commitments.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.
- Ability to use hand tools; such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, nut-drivers, power drivers, etc
- Performs visual and dimensional inspections for in-process assemblies and finished products
- Routes, wires, and assembles electronic components using wire layout boards
- Ability to handle small parts.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- May attach ends of wires to components, plugs, or terminal strip, using soldering iron or crimping device.
- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Minimum 3-5 years of wire/harness assembly experience in the Aerospace industry.
