Solidus is seeking a skilled and self‑driven Manufacturing Engineer to support our growing team. In this role, you will translate product requirements into efficient manufacturing solutions that uphold Solidus' commitment to quality, reliability, and innovation. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to develop, test, and refine processes that enhance production performance and meet customer expectations. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys problem‑solving, improving systems, and making a meaningful impact on daily operations.
Dayin the Life
- Develop complete Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs), including workflow/routing, assembly instructions, labor standards, and tooling and fixture designs
- Enhance and optimize manufacturing processes by analyzing products and evaluating production methods
- Support Solidus' manufacturing operations by troubleshooting issues and integrating engineering changes into MDPs
- Evaluate and disposition nonconforming materials, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective actions
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing cycle time, improving ergonomics, increasing automation, and lowering cost through data‑driven and Six Sigma methods
- Provide real‑time technical support across Solidus' in‑house manufacturing teams and external supply chain partners
- Design and implement tools and fixtures that improve production efficiency and ergonomic safety
- Lead corrective action investigations to prevent recurring issues and strengthen process reliability
- Other duties as assigned
- Active Secret clearance is required
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field
- Cultural fit amongst a collaborative team environment
- Experience creating Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) and routings
- Skilled in dispositioning non‑conforming material and MRB processes
- Green Belt certification or experience applying Lean principles
- Ability to solve real‑time floor issues under pressure
- Strong skills for collaborating with assembly and supply teams
- Passion for working with diverse, cross‑functional teams
