Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) Systems Integrator

Onsite role in Tucson, AZ, requiring a U.S. security clearance (Secret). The HWIL Department is responsible for designing, building and integrating state‑of‑the‑art testing environments for missile flight simulators.

What You Will Do
  • Work with trades and designs for developmental programs within the HWIL organization.
  • Perform system integration activities in HWIL facilities to support system signal presentation.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and failure investigation activities within HWIL facilities.
  • Join HWIL engineering teams in test system design, assembly, and integration on developmental programs.
  • Collaborate in a team environment supporting full lifecycle system development and sustainment.
  • Operate HWIL test environments through various phases of program development.
What You Will Learn
  • System‑level knowledge of developmental programs within HWIL.
  • Signal generation and presentation across IF and RF test environments.
  • Experience working with a multidisciplinary group of engineers.
Qualifications – Must Have
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 2years of relevant experience.
  • Experience integrating hardware, software or firmware, including electrical design and reading schematic diagrams.
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
Qualifications – Preferred
  • Strong organization, coordination and planning skills, with written and oral communication proficiency.
  • Experience generating technical documentation and reports.
  • Knowledge of RF theory and application in systems.
  • Understanding of networking and IP‑addressed based equipment.
  • Ability to work with cross‑discipline teams.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with rack assembly, cable assembly/installation, electronics maintenance.
  • Knowledge or experience with programming languages such as Java, C, C++, scripting languages like Python or Perl, and MATLAB scripts for data analysis.
