Manufacturing Cell Lead (MCL)
Responsible for all manufacturing-related activities within a production or depot‑manufacturing environment. Reports to a Value Stream Leader and manages up to 20+ touch labor employees within one shift. Directly supports manufacturing activities, operating in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment with extended hours when required.
Responsibilities- Interface and interact with site leadership.
- Manage schedule, quality, and cost performance of assigned work areas.
- Provide required resources (facilities, processes, equipment, training) to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate customer and site requirements to the bargaining unit workforce.
- Interface with support employees including planning, engineering, quality and other Value Stream Leaders across shifts.
- Manage and lead up to 20+ touch personnel.
- Sequence, plan, schedule, coordinate, and report tasks to support the manufacturing workflow.
- Prioritize project issues and assist in the resolution process to meet productivity, quality, organizational goals and contractual delivery requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all pertinent operating procedures, organizational directives and work instructions.
- University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of three years of experience.
- Experience in manufacturing or operations.
- Supervisory or managerial experience.
- U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- Experience with Material Resource Planning in an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Expected at Complete, IMDS, TMSS).
- Understanding of operational environments such as TAKT, Line Balancing, Value Stream Mapping.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts and implementation.
- Knowledge of Bargaining Unit Agreements and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Production Control concepts including WIP management and TAKT.
- Understanding of Estimate at Completion (EAC) process and Hours Per Unit (HPU).
- Salary range $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
