Shift Lead Assembly

Position Summary

The Assembly Shift Lead is responsible for leading day‑to‑day cleanroom assembly operations to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production. This role oversees a team of assemblers, coordinates workflow, enforces cleanroom practices, and supports quality and productivity targets. The Lead acts as the primary point of contact on the floor, providing hands‑on leadership, training, and problem‑solving support.

• Lead, coach, and support cleanroom assemblers during daily operations.
• Assign work, balance workloads, and ensure staffing aligns with production priorities.
• Provide real‑time guidance to ensure work is performed correctly and efficiently.
• Conduct shift start‑up meetings and communicate daily goals, safety topics, and quality priorities.
• Escalate staffing, performance, or operational issues to the Supervisor as needed.
• Track and communicate progress toward daily/weekly production plans.
• Monitor and escape layered audits hourly.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, lean, standard work, visual management).
• Ensure adherence to cleanroom protocols.
• Monitor and reinforce safe work practices, proper PPE usage, and ergonomics.
• Support incident reporting, near‑miss reporting, and corrective actions.
• Serve as the Natural Team HPT leader and coordinate and drive team meetings, projects, and TIB.
• Attend meetings such as RTB, Lead meeting and other project meetings.
• Work closely with Supervisors and other resources to ensure training matrix is regularly updated and gaps in the matrix are closed within a timely manner.
• Assist with ATR resolution and gage management.
• Participate in Cost Reduction, Kaizen events, and Lean Transformation efforts for your production area.
• Train team members on cleanroom behavior, gowning, and standardized assembly procedures.
• Verify competency and ensure training records are completed per requirements.
• Support onboarding of new hires and cross‑training across stations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience.

Working Conditions:

• Work in a controlled environment that is free from dust, particles, and other contaminants that could damage the products being assembled. Wear special clothing, such as a cleanroom suit, hood, gloves, safety glasses, and a mask to prevent contamination.

Dress Code Requirements:

• Comply with all manufacturing and cleanroom restrictions around clothing/garment materials, makeup, nails, hair, jewelry, and hygiene.

• Ability to provide technical supervision within a high‑performance team culture.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts & processes.
• Working knowledge of the Parker quality system and tools.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
