Raytheon is seeking a candidate for a Principal Specialist, Materials Planning, SIOP role. The successful candidate will operate in multiple shop floor control and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) related systems to ensure alignment between material position and production schedule.
What You Will Do:
- Develop Bills of Material for assemblies in multiple production factories
- Advanced knowledge in age-dated material management
- Support analysis of material consumption, new product transition to production efforts and align communication with the factory team to drive action plans
- Develop and implement new processes or standards that will have an impact on the achievement of functional results
- Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals
- Coordinate interdependent activities with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Program personnel, Quality and Engineering
- Participate in CORE projects to improve existing processes and accomplish continuous improvement
- Coordinate with supplier to resolve supply problems
- This position is an on-site role in Tucson, AZ.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Experience to include planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, finance, project management or a related field.
- Experience with MRP and/or ERP systems.
- Active and transferable Secret clearance level required at time of application. U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain higher clearance prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean or six sigma project implementations.
- Experience with ERP or purchasing systems.
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.
-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
