Mon to Fri 6am to 2:30pm
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading electronics manufacturing company to hire an experienced Solder Technician who takes pride in precision, quality, and craftsmanship. In this hands‑on role, you'll play a critical part in building high‑reliability circuit card assemblies that power innovative technologies. WhatYou'll Do
As a Solder Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of electronic assemblies by performing skilled soldering, inspection, and rework tasks. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:
- Perform post-wave soldering inspections, touch‑ups, and repairs on circuit card assemblies (CCAs)
- Complete manual soldering and rework of through‑hole components to IPC‑A‑610 quality standards
- Identify, troubleshoot, and correct solder defects, including cold joints, bridging, voids, and insufficient solder
- Perform manual PCB assembly tasks, including masking, coating, and conformal coating applications
- Set up, operate, calibrate, and maintain assembly equipment, hand soldering tools, and automated test systems
- Repair feeders and perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production and process issues
- Read and interpret technical drawings, assembly documentation, and manufacturing instructions
- Help train and provide guidance to new team members on proper work methods and quality expectations
- Maintain a safe, organized, and quality‑focused work environment
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4‑5 years of experience in post‑wave soldering, PCB assembly, or a related electronics manufacturing environment
- Experience with circuit card assembly (CCA) processes and soldering techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, drawings, and process instructions
- Strong understanding of board assembly processes, product flow, and solder quality standards
- Experience identifying and resolving assembly defects
- Ability to operate, calibrate, and maintain soldering and assembly equipment
- Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with prolonged standing or sitting and repetitive hand movements
- IPC‑A‑610 or other electronics soldering certifications (preferred but not required)
- Experience with in‑circuit and functional test fixturing
- Familiarity with SMT processing systems and advanced manufacturing processes
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, documentation control systems, and manufacturing software
- Previous experience mentoring or training team members

Pay Details:$21.00 per hour
