Raytheon is seeking a Senior Area Transformation Industrial Engineer to support production within the Effectors portfolio of factories in Tucson, AZ to maximize throughput, improve efficiency, and deliver increasing value to the customer. Industrial Engineers are responsible for Labor Performance Analyses, Process and Value Stream Mapping, Line Balancing, Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Factory Layouts, Factory Simulations, Strategic Planning, Project Management, Continuous Improvement, and more.

• Partner closely with Factory Industrial Engineers and Program Industrial Engineers to create predictable manufacturing systems.
• Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
• Create process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key metrics.
• Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory capacity, Manufacturing Technology insertion, infrastructure improvements, obsolescence mitigation, and the integration of new capabilities.
• Partner with project managers and factory support functions to improve modify the factory footprint and layout of factory equipment as needed.
• Support program contract proposals, business case development for future investments, supplier assessments, and Make/Buy/Where analyses.

• Industrial Engineering tools and methods used to build factory models to advance continuous improvement and future-state forecasting.
• Aspects of the Defense Industry and how to meet challenging mission requirements while also meeting cost, quality, and schedule targets.
• The CORE Operating System and the CORE Common Methods used to align priorities and meet key business objectives.
• Executive Presence and how to support leadership in making data driven decisions that result in measurable improvements.
• Project planning and project management techniques to deliver results and meet critical milestones supporting key business objectives.
• How to influence and lead others working with high-performing cross functional teams and frontline operators and specialists who assemble, test, and deliver our products everyday.
