Fragrance Production Specialist

The Production Specialist is responsible for preparing raw materials, operating production equipment, and ensuring quality control in blending, compounding, and packaging processes. This role ensures that all fragrance products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and company specifications.

Entry Level: Performs basic production tasks and supports standard processes.

Essential Functions

• Measures, weighs, and prepares raw fragrance ingredients according to batch formulas.
• Operates mixers, compounding tanks, and automated equipment for blending and filling.
• Monitors production runs to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
• Maintains accurate production records, including batch sheets, ingrediant usage, measures, and specifications.
• Follows safety, sanitation, and environmental regulations; complies with GMP, ISO, and company quality standards.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, tanks, and production areas as required.
• Escalates maintenance issues.
• Participates in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste; provides input on optimizing production schedules and workflow.
• Complete batching of products in production.
• Work closely with production leads, quality assurance, and R&D teams to ensure accurate product execution.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• One (1) year of experience in manufacturing or chemical production.

ORan equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience that results in the successful performance of the job. Additional education may substitute for required experience on one-for-one year basis or vice versa.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fragrance, cosmetics, or food industry.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Familiarity with compounding, mixing, or blending operations in a production setting.
• Understanding of fragrance raw materials and safe handling practices.
• Knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, or similar regulatory environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Basic math and computer skills for batching and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Heavy work environment.
• Continuous indoor and outdoor work with heavy exposure to physical, ergonomic, and/or emotional hazardous environments.
• Work requires lifting fifty (50) pounds or more and wearing protective equipment; standing for long periods of time.
