The University of Arizona's Graduate College invites you to apply to the role of Program Coordinator, Peace Corps Coverdell Program.

The Program Coordinator for the Peace Corps Coverdell Program is responsible for the coordination, administration, and development of the University of Arizona's Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) Coverdell Fellows Program, as well as related graduate student community engagement initiatives. In this role, you will lead recruitment, financial assistance, and placement of master's and doctoral degree-seeking students with paid and/or for-credit community-based positions throughout Tucson with regional for-profit and nonprofit agencies and partners.

As a Program Coordinator, you will collaborate with a dynamic team within the Graduate College Graduate Center, where supporting and enhancing graduate student services is a key priority.

Please note, this position will involve some off-hour and weekend events that will require your involvement and participation.

• Collaborate with various partners, both on-campus and in the community, including theUA's Peace Corps Prep and Recruiter's office, department program staff,Graduate Center staff, agency partners, and the National Peace Corps Office.
• Develop and manage the application process for the Coverdell Program, including applications for assistantship and internship positions with partnering agencies in the Tucson community.
• Coordinate application review committees, which include faculty, staff, students, and community members.
• Facilitate award letter acceptance and denial process.
• Managethe UA Graduate College Peace Corps Coverdell Fellows website and page content in collaboration with the Graduate Center.
• Collaborate with Graduate Center staff to create and provide social media content/posts.
• Coordinate and oversee various University Peace Corps events, including the annual
  
  Coverdell Fellows orientation events, the Peace Corps Fellows Fair/Poster event, and the End-of-Year Fellows meeting/social.
• Workwith Graduate Assistants (GAs) to coordinate and attend Coverdell Service projects throughout the year.
• Assistand empower the Coverdell Fellows to achieve success by setting up social gatherings to create a sense of community amongst the cohort. This helpsto ensure they thrive both personally and academically within the Fellows program.
• Serveas a primary point of contact for students and Coverdell Fellows,providing responsive support, addressing concerns, and connecting students with appropriate resources through collaboration with Graduate Center partners.
• Conduct regular check-ins with Fellows to monitor their progress toward Peace Corps Fellowship goals and outreach requirements, identify potential barriers to success, and coordinate support as needed to promote successful completion of their outreach goals and requirements.
• Buildand maintain strong, productive relationships with Fellows by fostering an engaging, responsive, and supportive environment that promotes student success throughout their academic and community engagement experiences.
