Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Post Partum – Nights – Tucson, AZ
Position Overview
The Post Partum Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients during the postpartum phase of Obstetrical care by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education;
delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to postpartum patients in a 36‑hour, night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) setting.
- Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in alignment with hospital policy and the state Nurse Practice Act.
- Delegate priorities and supervise nursing staff and support personnel.
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and adherence to evidence‑based practice.
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or a Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted).
- BLS, ACLS, NRP certification.
- Experience with Cerner EMR is required.
Compensation
- Up to $1,701 /week for a 36‑hour, 13‑week assignment.
