TMC’s Labor & Delivery is a high-volume, high-acuity unit offering comprehensive maternal and neonatal services. Our unit features:
- 24-hour perinatologists, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, and OB providers
- 16 LDR rooms
- 8 antepartum outpatient beds
- 4 NST bays
- 3 dedicated L&D operating rooms for scheduled and emergent procedures
- Separate L&D triage area for patients >20 weeks
- 5,500+ deliveries annually
- Nurses trained across pre-op, intra-op, PACU, and newborn care roles
- 14 nurses certified in Inpatient Obstetrics (NCC)
- Additional subspecialty certifications in electronic fetal monitoring
- All staff certified in NRP and ACLS
Types of care provided:
- High-risk antepartum & intrapartum
- Triage & outpatient procedures (NSTs, versions, etc.)
- Scheduled and emergent C-sections
- Postoperative and postpartum support

RequirementsEducation:
- Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
- Preferred: 1 year of RN experience (acute care or L&D experience preferred).
Licensure &
Certifications:
- Current Arizona RN license (or compact license).
- BLS required.
- ACLS (within 1 year of start date)
- NRP (within 6 months of start date)
