Seeking Full Time, Part Time & Seasonal PRN Advanced Practice Providers to Join the Team in the ED at Tucson Medical Center

Integrative Emergency Services (IES) is now hiring Physician Assistants or Emergency Nurse Practitioners (ENP-C certified) with at least one year of post-grad clinical experience in the Emergency Department.

Adult Emergency Department

• Positions: Full Time, Part Time, PRN or seasonal
• Volume: 80,000
• ED Beds: 60
• Admission Rate: 27%
• Transfer Rate: 1%
• Admissions by: Hospitalists
• Patients/Hour: 1.85
• Physician Coverage: 69 hrs daily
• APP Coverage: 50 hrs daily
• APP Shifts:
  • Fast track: 8a-6p, 10a-8p, Noon-10p, 4p-2a, 5p-5a
  • Adult ED Extension: 9a-6p, 11a-9p, 4p-1a

Pediatric Emergency Department

• Position: Full Time, Part Time, PRN or Seasonal
• Volume: 31,000
• Admission Rate: 6%
• Transfer Rate: 1%
• Admissions by: Pediatric Hospitalists
• Patients per Hour: 1.5-2
• Physician Coverage: 27 hours daily
• Physician Shifts: 9 hours
• APP Coverage: 10 hours daily (20 hours in winter)
• APP Shifts: 11a-11p daily & 6p-12p seasonal shift
• Pedi ED Beds: 14
• Pedi Hospital Beds: 33
• NICU: 42-bed, Level III
• PICU: 12 beds

Required Qualifications:

• One or more years post-graduate professional clinical experience in hospital Emergency Department
• Board-certified Physician Assistant or Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP-C) or for Pedi ER Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (PACNP)
• AZ PA or NP license
• DEA certificate
• BLS, ACLS & PALS (NRP if working in Pedi ED)

Compensation

• W2: $110 - 120/hr ($85.50/hr Base & $9.50/hr QSP & RVU)
• Night Shift Differential: $6/hr 12a-6a
• RVU Bonus Pay: $15/hr bonus if 8 RVUs/hr met; $25/hr bonus if 8.9 RVUs/hr met
• Holiday Pay: time and a half for designated holidays
• 1099 PRN for Pedi ER Only: $105/hr flat rate (no RVU, no QSP and no travel expenses provided)
