Job Summary

Position Summary

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates educational activities planning for an assigned service or population.

Responsibilities

* Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.

* Develops, implements and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.

* Serves as a resource for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.

* Participates in the coordination and continuity of orientation programs, including preceptor programs.

* This educator is accountable for the documentation and validation Network staff training at Training Facility.

* Provides curriculum development in collaboration with Clinical Education Specialists.

* Participates in organizational goal setting. Participates in brainstorming activities.

* Provides feedback on nursing procedures.

* Supports and participates in development of protocols related to practice in collaboration with other team members.

* Participates in research and Quality Monitoring. Participates in the evaluation of results and impact of services.

Qualifications

* Minimum Requirements

* Education:

* Master's Degree in Nursing, Education, or related field.

* May be currently enrolled in Master's program.

* Experience:

* Two (2) years related experience or one (1) year supervisory

* Women's services (Labor & Delivery, couplet care and/or NICU)

* Licensure/

Certifications:

* Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona Licensed in 30 days.

* Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

* Preferred Requirements

* Experience:

Three (3) years Specific area experience and one (1) year supervisory

* Certifications:

NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN - Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring
