This is a full‑time position, scheduled 40 hours per week;
Monday through Friday.
As an outpatient oncology RN, you will work closely with your providers (MD/APP) and the care team to coordinate patient oncology care and treatment. You will triage Cerner message pool, enter orders, ensure required records are available before visits, respond to interdisciplinary team questions about treatment needs, authorization clarification, symptom management, and collaborate with rooming teams, supportive care, and navigation to ensure the best visit for the patient.
You may support a surgical oncologist and assist with clinic‑appropriate procedures.
Clinic days: 2-3 days per week when patients see the oncologist; 1-2 days for clinic preparation and closure. Depending on team, you may have a clinic day at additional clinical sites.
Core FunctionsMust possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice, or a temporary/interim/compact RN license. BLS certification required. Additional certifications or continuing education may be required. Desired experience in the clinical area. Must maintain clinical performance competencies and annual validations. Experience in acute care within the past 12 months. In home health or behavioral health roles, additional state clearance cards and background checks are required (Arizona fingerprint clearance, criminal history affidavit, etc.).
Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred. Professional certification preferred. Additional related education or experience preferred.
