Science 37’s Nursing Solutions Group brings together expert nurses who share a passion for organizing, planning and implementing mobile clinical nurse services to participants in clinical trials. The group collaborates continuously among clinicians, clinical researchers, patient recruitment specialists, data managers and technology developers. The Nursing Solutions Group is involved throughout the trial life cycle, from protocol development and feasibility analysis to clinical trial implementation and closeout.
PerDiem Mobile Research Nurse
The Mobile Research Nurse is a registered nurse who works per diem in multiple therapeutic areas, integrates well with the Nursing Solutions Group, and performs patient care at participants’ homes or at brick‑and‑mortar sites, when required. The Nurse ensures professional delivery of patient care in compliance with federal and state regulations, Good Clinical Practice, and Standard Operating Procedures.
This is a travel role that requires on‑site visits to participants’ homes.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing services to qualified study participants at home.
- Apply clinical research and nursing practices to develop solutions to complex problems.
- Collaborate with Lead and Per Diem Mobile Research Nurses on solution‑ing, education, and resource support.
- Participate in activities that advance the operational development of Science 37’s nursing service delivery.
- Develop relationships with study team members and serve as the subject matter expert on all nursing processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on evolving needs.
- Active RN licensure in home state and eligibility for Compact Licensure.
- Minimum 2+ years of clinical or research experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Full COVID‑19 vaccination strongly preferred.
- Positive representation of the company in participants’ homes or clinic settings.
- Willingness to travel to participants’ homes and to local or remote locations.
- Active driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel.
- Ability to obtain licenses in multiple states as needed.
- Physical ability to lift up to 15 kg and perform nursing tasks.
- Ability to use technology effectively for assessments, documentation, and communication.
- Good verbal and written communication in English.
- Minimum 1–2 days per week dedicated to support study visits.
- Weekday and nighttime availability required.
- Up to 100% travel for study participant visits, project team meetings, and other professional meetings/conferences.
- Strong collaboration and problem‑solving skills, with ability to develop solutions in complex research settings.
- Excellent patient‑centered care delivery across multiple therapeutic areas.
Minimal supervision with reporting to the Manager, Nursing Solutions Group.
CompensationCompensation varies by location and work performed. The starting pay range is generally $50–55 per hour. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and commissions. Actual pay may be above or below this range based on qualifications and experience.
TrainingAs part of onboarding, the Mobile Research Nurse will complete a flat 35‑hour training program within a 21‑day period. Successful completion results in compensation at the hourly rate outlined above.
