RN Specialty OR Open Heart FT Days Position Summary
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Responsibilities- Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record, and communicate patient condition appropriately.
- Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Conduct assessment, including physiological data and psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
- Initial assessment, re‑assessment, focused assessment based on patient condition, setting, and population.
- Identify problems through clinical judgment, noting actual or potential health conditions or needs.
- Plan and set measurable short‑ and long‑range goals collaboratively with patient and family.
- Establish daily goals, formulate plan of care, transition or discharge planning.
- Implement nursing care according to care plan, ensuring continuity during hospitalization and preparation for discharge.
- Ensure patient safety; administer medications; provide ordered treatments; educate patients/families; provide nursing care; document in healthcare record.
- Evaluate patient status and effectiveness of nursing care; modify care plan as needed.
- Coordinate care, managing timing and effectiveness from admission to discharge.
- Delegate, supervise, and prioritize tasks.
- License
:
Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license with ability to become Arizona licensed within 30 days. - Certification
:
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association required;
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred. - Education
:
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. - Work Experience
:
None required.
