Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department

Job Description & Requirements

We are seeking a travel nurse RN (Emergency Department) in Tucson, Arizona. The position is a 13‑week assignment beginning 06/01/2026, requiring 36 hours of work per week on 12‑hour day shifts. Candidates must be a registered nurse with at least 2 years of recent bedside experience and be able to start within 5 weeks. Travel or local RN eligible. A $750 referral bonus is available.

Opportunity may extend upon successful completion.

• Float between Tucson Campus Level I Trauma and South Campus Level III EDs
• Varied work schedule, immediate coverage available
• Minimum 2 years recent ED RN experience (including Level I Trauma Center)
• Experience in a 500‑plus bed hospital preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Required certifications: PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, BLS
• Current, valid RN license in state of practice required
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients
• Provide direct patient care, coordinate, delegate, and supervise healthcare team activities
• Formulate comprehensive care plans including discharge planning
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in patient records
• Interact with physicians, patients, families and multidisciplinary team members
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and respond quickly to unexpected patient care needs
• Work in direct patient care environment with exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to emergency department practice
