We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Travel Registered Nurse (RN) with strong Medical Surgical and Telemetry experience for a 13-week contract assignment in Tucson, Arizona. The ideal candidate is currently working in a hospital-based Med Surg/Telemetry unit and possesses excellent clinical, critical thinking, and patient care skills.
The Travel RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions while monitoring cardiac rhythms and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Minimum QualificationsActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Minimum of 2 years of current hospital experience in a Medical Surgical and Telemetry unit.
Must be currently working in a hospital-based Med Surg/Telemetry setting
.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred or required based on facility policy.
Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills.
Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new clinical environments.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
Travel RequirementsCandidate must reside 50 miles or more from Tucson, Arizona to qualify as a traveler for this assignment.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a Medical Surgical and Telemetry environment.
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards.
Provide compassionate, high-quality care while managing multiple patient assignments.

Weekend, holiday, and on-call requirements as determined by the facility
Preferred SkillsExperience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment.
