We are seeking a dependable and compassionate nurse to join our ambulatory surgery center team on a PRN basis. In this role, you will support patient care in a fast-paced procedural environment focused on interventional pain services. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safe, high-quality care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after interventional pain procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including assessment, education, and verification of required information.
- Assist the clinical team with procedure room setup, patient monitoring, and recovery care.
- Monitor vital signs and observe patients for changes in condition, responding appropriately to concerns.
- Administer medications and intravenous therapies in accordance with facility policies and scope of practice.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support infection prevention, safety, and quality standards throughout the patient care process.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and other team members to promote efficient workflow.
- Educate patients and families regarding pre-procedure and post-procedure instructions as directed.
- Contribute to a respectful, team-oriented environment focused on excellent patient experience.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the applicable state.
- Active BLS certification; additional certifications may be preferred based on facility needs.
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgery center, procedural area, recovery room, or related acute care setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of patient assessment, medication administration, and post-procedure recovery care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, composure, and efficiency during procedural care.
- Experience supporting interventional pain procedures or similar specialty care.
- Familiarity with ambulatory surgery center workflows and regulatory requirements.
- Interest in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative setting.
- Flexible PRN scheduling.
