SHIFT DETAILS

Employment Type: Full-time Day Shift
Hours per Week: 3-12s | 36 hours
Shift: 7 AM - 7:30 PM
Schedule: Varied, Monday through Saturday (Weekend and holiday rotations required)
Shift Differential: $3/hour for weekend shifts and 18% for night shifts, when applicable

POSITION SUMMARY

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The role ensures quality nursing services, applies specialized knowledge and judgment to provide care appropriate to the patient’s physical and developmental age, and works within a multidisciplinary team.

CORE FUNCTIONS

Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs; reviews history, diagnostics, and reports abnormal results to physician(s).

Formulates a patient-specific plan of care, including discharge planning, and revises it as patient needs change.

Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of health‑care team activities, adhering to policies and regulatory requirements.

Evaluates patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed and assessing progress toward goals.

Documents assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record; ensures legible, timely, and policy‑compliant documentation.

Provides evidence‑based care and may participate in research activities; engages in unit or facility shared leadership and staff education.

Contributes to society by promoting excellent patient outcomes and participating in quality improvement and professional organizations.

In some roles, supervises staff and workflow of the department.

Interacts with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts, including community providers and agencies, to support patient care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Current, valid RN license in the state of practice or temporary/interim RN license or compact RN licensure.
BLS certification required; additional certifications or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
Minimum of one year experience in an acute‑care hospital setting as a registered nurse in the specialty area, or within the past 12 months in an acute‑care setting.
For home health, must operate a personal vehicle, possess a valid driver’s license, and active auto insurance.
For behavioral health roles in Arizona, must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and a Criminal History Affidavit at hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Professional certification preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
