Tenet-AZ Region is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in the PACU – Post Anesthesia Care for a nursing job in Tucson, Arizona.

Ongoing, 36 hours per week on a 12‑hour shift.
Employment Type:
Staff.
Sign on Bonus:
Up to $10,000 (SOB) Based on Eligibility.
- Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols.
- Implements and monitors patient care plans; monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
- Documents physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning with the healthcare team.
- Initial assessment.
- Re‑assessment.
- Focused assessment based on patient condition, setting and population.
Problem identification is the nurse’s clinical judgment about the patient’s response to actual or potential health conditions or needs.
Planning and Outcomes- Sets measurable and achievable short‑ and long‑range goals in collaboration with patient and family.
- Establishes daily goals with the patient and family.
- Formulates a plan of care.
- Plans transition or discharge.
- Applies nursing care according to the care plan, ensuring continuity from hospitalization to discharge.
- Ensures patient safety.
- Administers medication.
- Provides ordered treatments.
- Educates patient and family.
- Documents nursing care in the healthcare record.
Both the patient’s status and the effectiveness of nursing care are continuously evaluated, and the care plan is modified as needed.

- Education:
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. - Experience:
One (1) year as an RN. - Licensure/
Certifications:
Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona licensed in 30 days. - Basic Life Support (BLS).
- American Heart Association and others as required by the individual department.
- Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing. - Licensure/
Certifications:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or others as required by the individual department.
