The Pediatric SWAT RN is highly specialized and will provide support to PICU, General Pediatrics during critical patient situations. This nurse responds to all Higher Levels of Care, Rapid Responses, Code Blue, Stroke Alerts, Sepsis, US IV insertion to include long-dwells and post‑cardiac Hypothermia. You will have the opportunity to perform consults in the pediatric and Women/Infant spaces. This role would be specifically for BUMCT responding to OB emergency response, neonatal RRT and any other pediatric RRT/codes.
They also serve as expert resources for nursing staff with regards to IV starts (especially those requiring ultrasound) and special procedures or when a unit simply needs temporary support due to high acuity. Minimum three years core RN experience in PICU or NICU. Must be self‑motivated and self‑directed, able to set priorities and collaborate with all health care customers. Should be able to problem solve in critical situations and possess excellent communication skills.
Full Time, Night Shift 36 hours/week
You will also have the opportunity utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. Enjoy a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential.
