Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

JOB SUMMARY

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of patients undergoing diagnostic Endoscopy procedures. In coordination with other members of the Endoscopy team, the registered nurse is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing, and provision of nursing care to patients in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act, physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques, policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.

• Provide direct patient care to patients undergoing diagnostic Endoscopy procedures.
• Assess patient needs and develop appropriate nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and response to procedures.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post‑procedure care.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Participate in team planning and coordination of care.
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Shift: 06:30 - 17:00

• On‑call duties required: 3‑7 calls per month.

• Floating to other units as needed.
• On‑call rotation required.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona (AZ).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of Endoscopy nursing experience.

• Experience with Cerner EMR system preferred.

• BLS Certification

• 2+ years of Endoscopy nursing experience.

• Cerner (preferred)
