Float Registered Nurse, Medical and Surgical Oncology, Ambulatory Clinic

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients
• Conduct patient assessments and develop nursing care plans
• Communicate with patients, provide education and triage
• Coordinate and prepare for patient-physician visits
• Address medication needs and interpret lab values
• Build relationships with the oncology team
• Participate in research activities within clinical practice and contribute to nursing quality improvement

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice
• BLS certification required
• Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired
• Previous oncology experience in Ambulatory or Inpatient setting preferred
• Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations
• Employees working in any Banner Staffing (BSS) Behavioral Health role in Arizona must possess a State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment

Demonstrates expertise in patient assessment, care planning, and medication management within oncology settings. Maintains compliance with clinical performance competencies and engages in quality improvement initiatives.
