Role Overview
This position is for a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) Supervisor in an academic Level IV NICU setting.
The role involves providing direct patient care, collaborating with neonatologists, and supervising the NNP team.
Responsibilities include attending high-risk deliveries, performing procedures (intubations, chest tubes, arterial lines, PICCs, ventilator management), and teaching/mentoring residents and staff.
The supervisor oversees team scheduling, performance evaluations, protocol development, and implementation.
It offers teaching and research opportunities, with a focus on delivering optimal neonatal outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with at least 3 years of supervisory experience
- Experience in Level III or IV NICUs
- Certification and prescribing privileges as per state requirements
- Current NPR certification and DEA license
- Strong clinical, leadership, and team collaboration skills
