Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care in the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Utilize the Nursing Process effectively while adhering to state regulations.
- Demonstrate leadership skills by delegating patient care priorities.
- Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
- Supervise and provide direction to assigned personnel in delivering patient care.
- Anticipate and plan for safe delivery of care to patients in the Emergency Department.
This position requires a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working three 12-hour shifts per week.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Room setting.
- Valid Arizona RN License.
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Charge nurse experience is preferred.
- Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.
