- Experience in a large, urban, fast-paced Emergency Department with significant volume.
- Experience with ventilated patients required.
- EPIC charting system experience required.
- Level 1 trauma experience preferred.
- Ability to support Patient Care Technicians and Medic.
- Must provide weekend coverage every other week, with 4 weekend shifts per contract.
- Patient to nurse ratio of 1:5.
- Must have prior charge experience.
- Travel experience required.
Description:
This position offers 3x12-hour shifts, with flexibility for 4x12-hour shifts if preferred. We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in a high-volume emergency department. The candidate must be proficient in caring for ventilated patients. Candidates who have previously worked in a Level 1 trauma center will be prioritized. Support for Patient Care Technicians and Medic is expected. Weekend coverage is mandatory, with designated shifts included in the contract.
The emergency department handles an average of 210 visits per day. Please note that first-time travelers will not be considered for this position. Travelers must not exceed a local radius of 75 miles for eligibility. Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated.
