Resource Float Pool Position

The Resource Float Pool is a diversely skilled team that floats throughout our two campuses, BUMC-Tucson (600+ bed Level I Trauma) and BUMC-South, to provide support where necessary.

BUMC-Tucson Campus has approximately 16 Adult Health units with patients that range from Observation (two teams), Med Surg (four units), and PCU (12 units). PCU travelers may be floated to any of these units during their contract. Occasionally, they may be floated to the ED or the PACU to take Adult Health patients with inpatient orders waiting on a bed on a unit, although this is not common.

BUMC-South Campus is approximately a 10-minute drive from BUMC-Tucson. It has four (4) Adult Health units (one OBS, one PCU, and two MS) which they may float. Previous travel experience is required. AZ RESIDENTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR ASSIGNMENTS IN ANY ARIZONA FACILITY! Banner has a specific cover page. Please ensure candidates clearly outline ALL criteria they're willing to accept. The more flexible they are with locations, shifts, and departments, the faster we can secure an offer!

Candidates must be able to start on the listed start date, or no more than one week later. RTO must be on the cover page and cannot exceed 7 days. No RTO during the first week of assignment. Please list all facilities the candidate is willing to work in. Specify facility name(s), states, or all, if open to any facility in any state.

All shifts the candidate is willing to work. All departments the candidate is experienced and willing to work.

All candidates submitted should be pre-closed and ready to accept. Please let us know immediately if the candidate withdraws or is no longer available.

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 24 months PCU experience (with recent experience in last 12 months) - REQUIRED
• Life support certifications must be from AHA, ARC, or ASHI - REQUIRED
• No hits on state license to practice - REQUIRED
• RTO cannot exceed 7 days, No RTO during the first week of assignment - REQUIRED
• Candidate driver's license to verify residency - REQUIRED
• Travel experience - HIGHLY PREFERRED

• Complete Banner Cover Page - REQUIRED
• Resume with all facilities, departments worked, trauma level designation, and # of beds listed - REQUIRED
• PCU skills checklist must be completed in last 12 months - REQUIRED
• Active license to practice—verified in last 30 days - REQUIRED
• Active ACLS certification from approved vendor - REQUIRED
• Active BLS certification from approved vendor - REQUIRED
• Driver's License - REQUIRED
