Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

This is a 13-week contract position.

Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (3 shifts per week)

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of care in the Emergency Department. The RN maintains clinical competencies through continuing education, delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

• Provide high-quality nursing care in an emergency setting.
• Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient management.
• Lead and supervise nursing staff in the delivery of patient care.
• Maintain compliance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an emergency setting.
• Active AZ RN License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.
