Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) for a challenging position at a Level III Trauma center. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 24 months of recent ER nursing experience, expertise in handling psychiatric patients, and certification in NIHSS.

This position operates on a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a contract of 13 weeks. Candidates can expect 36 hours scheduled with a guarantee of 24 hours per week.

• Minimum of 24 months ER nursing experience (with recent experience in the last 12 months)
  - Required
• TNCC certification
  - Required
• Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from an approved vendor
  - Required
• Active RN license with no hits on the state license to practice
  - Required
• NIHSS certification
  - Required
• Experience with psychiatric patients in an ED setting
  - Preferred
• Prior travel experience
  - Highly Preferred
