Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
The Registered Nurse holds accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by applying the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of care to patients in the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities- Utilize the Nursing Process for patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment.
- Plan and deliver safe care in accordance with hospital policies.
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
- Provide direction and supervision of personnel delivering patient care.
- 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Valid Arizona RN license.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Experience with EMR systems, specifically Cerner.
- Must be willing to float to Marana ED and sister hospitals.
This position includes night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with rotating weekends.
