Emergency Department Registered Nurse
The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care of the patient in the Emergency Department. The role also involves maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education and delegating patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Utilize Nursing Process in accordance with state regulations and hospital policies.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient care delivery.
- Supervise and provide direction to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
- Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
- Be willing to float to other Emergency Departments as needed.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Arizona RN License.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Experience with EMR systems, specifically Cerner, preferred.
This position offers a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including rotating weekends.
Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.
