Our Banner team is growing! Our RN Operations Support Specialist (ROSS) will support our Adult Health units. This position has both indirect and direct impact at the bedside while playing a key role in supporting our teams and our patients. This position will be responsible for the education for our teams, onboarding of new employees, will be involved in quality and safety and will have an impact on outcomes for our patients.

As the ROSS, you will be responsible for the on-boarding and orientation experience for newly hired team members and for assisting in their career development.

You will be involved in quality and safety by gathering data to determine areas that need attention, and as a result you will have an impact on outcomes for our patients. You will support the leadership team in planning, development and execution of education for the department. This is for a Full Time, Day position. The schedule can flex and shifts are Monday through Friday, generally working 8:00AM-5:00PM.

Attendance at meetings is required and may mean a shift in schedule times.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for supporting nurse leadership in the planning, development and execution of facility education for clinicians, supporting the on-boarding and orientation of newly hired registered nurses, career development and effective internal clinical communications. This role performs under the guidance and direction of the chief nursing officer or designee and serves as a liaison between all disciplines by effectively communicating, educating and problem solving.

This position proactively supports the quality and continuity of services throughout the healthcare systems and assists in resolution of systems issues and enforces facility/unit/department policy/procedures and standards of care. This position coordinates oversight of quality, risk management, safety and nursing standards and is a role model and resource person for providing quality patient care and maintaining clinical competency within the facility/unit/department;
