American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Observation Unit RN with EP Lab/Cath Lab experience to provide pre and post-procedure care for high-acuity cardiac patients.
Details- Cardiac Observation Unit (COU) providing pre and post-procedure care for Cath Lab patients
- High-risk, high-acuity patient population
- Performs bedside procedures including Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) and Cardioversions (CV)
- Shift schedule varies among 3x12s day shifts , , )
- Rotational call required approximately every 4-6 weeks, including Saturday and Sunday
- Active RN license (AZ or Compact)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
- 2 years of RN experience required
- 1+ years of recent experience in specialty required
- Experience in PACU, ICU, Telemetry, Cath Lab, or Surgery Center considered on a case-by-case basis
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Valid driver's license and US Social Security Number required for consideration
- Admits patients and preps them for Cath procedures, Cardioversions, and TEE procedures
- Sedates, circulates, and documents bedside procedures including CV and TEE
- Recovers patients following Cath procedures involving conscious sedation
- Handles patient discharge including teaching, documentation, and physical discharge
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
- RTO requests must be less than 1 week
- Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
