Our 39-bed Cardiac Medical Unit is a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a highly motivated team committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered care. The unit includes 25 private rooms, 7 semi-private rooms, and 2 private bariatric rooms, with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio on both day and night shifts.

The team specializes in caring for patients with a variety of cardiac conditions, including heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, chest pain, and cardiac-related breathing concerns. Nurses also care for patients awaiting coronary artery bypass surgery, cardiac testing, pacemaker and ICD insertions, as well as patients undergoing pre- and post-cardiac catheterization.

Our Cardiac Medical team also provides specialized care for patients before and after Structural Heart procedures, including TAVR, Mitra Clip, and Watchman procedures. The unit may also care for medical overflow patients as needed.

The clinical nurse leader is responsible for the assessment, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the delivery of safe and effective patient-centered care. The Clinical Nurse Leader will facilitate and mentor others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills. In addition, the Clinical Nurse Leader will continuously assess unit needs to ensure adequate resources for current and upcoming shifts by collaborating with other departments, clinical and nonclinical, to coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges of patients in a timely manner.

Finally, the Clinical Nurse Leader will demonstrate professionalism at all times and will uphold standards of practice by holding team members accountable for continued compliance.

EDUCATION:

EXPERIENCE
:

One (1) year of nursing experience in an acute care setting required.

Two (2) years of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
