RN - Postpartum

Provides nursing care to postpartum mothers and new borns following delivery. Monitors maternal and new born conditions, supports recovery, provides education, and coordinates care with the healthcare team to promote safe discharge and continuity of care.

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)
• Previous postpartum, mother-baby, or women's health nursing experience (Preferred)

• Current RN license in state of practice (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (Preferred or Required based on facility requirements)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (Preferred or Required based on facility requirements)

• Performs assessments and monitors postpartum mothers and newborns for changes in condition.
• Provides routine postpartum and newborn care, including vital signs, medications, and treatments.
• Assists with breastfeeding, newborn care, and patient education.
• Recognizes and responds to maternal or newborn complications and escalates care as needed.
• Provides discharge education regarding postpartum recovery, medications, newborn care, and follow-up.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and patient response in the medical record.
